Board Rules

We really only have a few basic rules but the few we do have are taken very seriously and vigorously enforced by the mods whenever we see anybody stepping over the line. We do this to protect the sites friendly and fun nature from people that may wish to cause trouble.

SUGGESTION: Please be SPECIFIC on the subject line of your posts!!

Ever try to skim though a forum and see what the posts are about at a glance? Ever get frustrated by subjects like "Hi, help please?" or "What should I do?" or "More info?"???

PLEASE!! When making a post, try to be as specific as possible on the subject line so the subjects actually mean something that your post is about. Everyone will thank you for it, and chances are you will thank others too.

RULE #1: No flaming.....

Next to no comercial or business selling/promotion, this is our most enforced rule. We do not allow any flaming whatsoever. We like to consider us all as one big happy family here. Therefore we will not tolerate any member flaming another member for any reason. Anybody flaming another member will maybe get one warning and one warning only. We say maybe because it depends on the type of flame. We will not tolerate any racial stuff at all. For that you will most likely just get banned with no warning. We will not tolerate any abusive language towards another member either. Any abuse like this, or anything that you may find abusive, should be reported via the links provided on the site to the mods or admins right away. Let us handle it. Do not try to handle things on your own. We fully reserve the right to delete or move any threads or posts off the system at any time for any reason, without any notice.

RULE #2: URLs (Website Addresses).....

THERE IS NO SELLING OR PROMOTION OF ANY PRODUCT OR SERVICE OF ANY KIND ALLOWED IN THE FORUMS BY COMMERCIAL SITES OR DEALERS THAT ARE NOT ACTUAL CURRENT SPONSORS OF THE SITE. We currently have sponsors of this site that are contributing to the operation of this site. In return we offer them exposure on our site. To be fair to them, we must stay very strict and very serious about this rule. If you are a busines that wishes to gain some exposure from our site for your product, please click the Advertising Information link in our left main menu.

We do not tollerate spamming in our forums. Site Sponsors/Advertisers have the right to post specials about their products in the special sponsors specials area, and can *respond* to questions about their products in ANY other forum area, but no one should ever spam or post ads, brand or product pumps, or otherwise in any other forum area.

Posting URLs in any thread can be a very sensitive point. Too often when somebody adds a URL to a post it's primary reason is generally to point somebody to another site for the purpose of selling something. So if we see any URL and we determine that it is nothing more than an advertising ploy we will edit it out and warn whoever posted. If that person ignores the warning and continues to post that same URL then they will be banned. This all ties into to our primary rule of no selling in the forums.

URLs to sites that do NOT offer any selling, and are for the purpose of offering information are totally acceptable. (Although repeatedly littering the forum with outright pushing of a url will be edited or banned.)

Now we do have one exception to this URL rule as far as posting a url that sells products. You are allowed to **REPLY to a REQUEST** for information, but you also must meet one of the two following criteria:

1) You have no affiliation whatsoever with the URL you are posting.

2) If you are a dealer and you have a current up to date banner ad running on our web site, then you are allowed to post your URL but again only in a REPLY to a request in the marketplace areas.

Other than that you are not allowed to post any URLs or promotional material to any site that sell any products ANYWHERE else on the web site. This is not a website to spam stuff... We do this to make sure our forums are free of spam, and to have a better environment for our readers.

If you want information on becoming a web site sponsor to help us pay for bandwidth, we can provide you with really great banner advertising. Detailed web site statistics and bandwidth info is available on request. Just use the contact us link at the bottom of the site to get in touch with us here. This website is a BUSINESS in itself. Please understand this.

RULE #3: Postings.....

Here are a list of things that are frowned upon when posting:

1) Posting the same question in multiple forums... Newbies quite often decide to do this... They will post a question in one forum and if they don't get any immediate responses they move on to another forum and post the same question. You need to have some patience. Make sure to look at all the forums and determine the best one for whatever your question may be and then give it time to be read by the right person who can answer your question. If you post the same question in multiple forums chances are the thread will either be closed or deleted by a moderator.

2) Asking basic questions that have already been asked over and over again... This is something that sometimes really aggravates not only the moderators but also other members to no end. It shows a total lack of putting in any time or effort. This why you will often see many members telling newbies to read, read, read before posting. They are not saying this just to be jerks or to give you a hard time. Many have been down the same road themselves and now know what a newbie should try to do. We also recommend that you try using the search feature as well. It's a powerful tool that can be used to find many threads that will in most cases answer your questions before you ever need to ask them. We have many, many members who never ever post anything. They just read and search for the info they require.

3) Posting in the wrong forum... This is another thing that we often see newbies do. We beg you to take your time and think before you post. Make sure that you are in the appropriate forum.

RULE #4: Selling, Buying or Trading is only allowed in the Marketplace area's by PERSONAL PEOPLE. No business postings in these areas, they will be deleted without warning.

We do not allow any selling, buying or trading in any of the forums outside of the FOR SALE & WANTED FORUMS. And then this is allowed only for personal selling of items, not for dealer type activity. This is strictly enforced and if we find anybody who is abusing this rule then they will be banned. No exceptions whatsoever. We also do not approve of anybody using Private Messages to solicit other members. If a member reports to us that another member is engaged in doing this that will also be grounds to be banned. Also if a member posts their email address in a thread and another member then emails that person in an attempt to solicit that also will be grounds for being banned. As you can see we just do not like this sort of activity occurring in the forums.

Spam sucks and we wont have it here... There are other more respectable ways to sell your great products, and the added bonus of helping us run this website for everyone else is very cool too.

Remember this as well. This website is NOT a democracy. I run this website, and I run it the way I wish. I run it so the MAJORITY will be happy. I WILL delete or move any post I wish in order to keep the peace here, without notice or reason. You will notice and realize I am a pretty laid back person and the website runs well this way.

If a user has a problem with the way I run this site, they can email me about it. DO NOT post your gripes on the forum as they will be deleted.

Remember, We reserve the right to delete ANY POST here for ANY REASON. We do all this to keep this board friendly and tidy, and free of bullshit. Any users who do not agree to this are asked to kindly leave this site, or not post. We think any friendly resonable person will love this site. Only people who wish to cause shit will dislike this, and we dont care about those people.
